9" Tracking Stompfin™

Prix de vente$42.00
(5.0)

Flatwater, fishing, expedition — improved tracking anywhere, fully retracts. The 9" Tracking StompFin™ gives you extra fin surface area for improved ferry hold, effortless river crossings, and a powerful, locked-in drive wherever you paddle. Great for lake days, fishing floats, and multi-day expedition runs — it makes tracking almost effortless and turns a casual paddle into a purposeful one.

Like all StompBox fins, the spring holds the 9" Tracking StompFin locked at full depth at all times — not gravity, not water flow. Hit a rock and it deflects cleanly, springing back to full deployment before your next stroke. Collapses fully into the StompBox 2.0 and 2.5, and down to 3.5" in the StompBox 1.0. Compatible with StompBox 1.0, 2.0, and 2.5.

Swap to the 4.5" StompFin for low-water runs and rock gardens. See the full Hala fin lineup.

Great in flat water and wind

This fin really improves the tracking of the older Hala's with the 4.5inch fin. My only critique is in heavy lateral waves, this fin makes the board harder to ride if you don't come in with some speed.

Tracking fin

This fin works much better than the regular purple fin on the Hala Atcha.

Thanks for the helpful feedback! This fin is perfect for those who prioritize straight tracking over 'surfyness'

I’ve added this fin on

I’ve added this fin on the 8’6” atcha and have been running the needles with it. The fin dramatically increased control and tracking.

Incredible improvement in straight-line smooth

Incredible improvement in straight-line smooth water tracking for my Fame. Keep in mind though that there is a trade-off. Tracks better in smooth water but understandable turns harder in white water. Makes eddy turns and fast line up moves more difficult. I'd recommend getting this with a whole new fin box so you can fish a lake on Saturday, and blast a river on Sunday with the perfect board for both.

Surf’s up!

A great fin for any river. Sure, it works great for high volume rivers but is also a great choice if you need a more “sticky” back end. I like it for executing peel outs and pivot turns in slower moving water and does a lot to offset the loss of tracking associated with the 1.5” low-pro fins. An excellent surf fin as well.

Luv me sum big orange

This is the fin that all the larger Hala boards should come with. Looking at you Hala. That said if you do not have one get it now. The improvement in tracking alone is worth it and the new Stomp box 2.0 swallows this thing whole.

A great add-on for a

A great add-on for a versatile board. Glad I got it. Easy to change from one fin to the another. Nice to know it can be replaced if necessary.

I use my Rado a

I use my Rado a bunch for fishing and was blown away by how much of a difference this fin made while out on large bodies of water. It makes a HUGE difference in the tracking and stability of the Rado. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a stompbox if they are looking to use their board in large bodies of water!

A friend and I just

A friend and I just bought Rados and are experiementing with different fin configurations. We took them out yesterday on the Lower Clackamas here in Oregon (running about 5000 cfs) with his set-up with the stock Stompbox fin, while I had the 9" fin on my board. It makes a noticeable difference in tracking, much easier to move through the flats, makes strong ferries and it holds a nice line and adds stability in rapids. We started on a small, shallow tributary, so I ran minus a Stompfin until we hit the big river, then I pulled over and in about 2 minutes had installed the 9" fin and was on my way. Very cool to have the option to adjust to different conditions and performance needs. Want to loosen up the rear-end? Remove it or replace with the stock fin, easy. Thanks for turning me onto this Jake!

Hala did it again! The

Hala did it again! The new 9" StompFin is a perfect add-on to the StompBox line of Hala Boards. It provides better tracking in deep, flat water and deeper, slow moving rivers. It basically turns your River Monster into a Flat Water Tracking Beast. Hit something in the shallows? The 9" StompFin retracts just like the original. Highly Recommend it!
