Welcome to the Future

Welcome to the future: Peter, the guy behind Hala Gear paddle boards, takes a break from competition during the Payette River Games to paddle Howard's Plunge. More and more sup boarders are paddling difficult river sections with bigger water and technical drops. The souvenir photographer who has been photographing rafters on the Payette "for years" has seen only a handful of paddle boarders on Howard's Plunge. I suspect she, like the rest of us, will be seeing many more in the near future on this rapid and rivers everywhere...A paradigm shift is taking place in water sports. Ocean boarders are heading inland to rivers, and white water is becoming a destination for sup. Indeed, welcome to the future.
